Aquariums by
the Sea uses a unique process to cut and join panels of acrylic
plastic that makes the final product seem indestructible when compared
to tanks produced by typical methods.
When applied
to aquariums, the process produces an uncanny degree of structural
integrity and tanks that will not fail you under all normal conditions.
To our knowledge, our extraordinarily strong aquariums cannot be
produced by automated processes.
Most producers
rely on adhesives to bind acrylic panels together. It's a fast and
easy method, but the resulting seams become the tanks' "weak link".
Mass produced tanks are glued together.

At Aquariums by the Sea,
instead of relying on adhesives, we cut the panel edges in a special
way that allows us to inject - by hand-liquid acrylic between the
panels. Through a catalytic chemical heating process, the injected
material becomes one with the panels and joins them together as
if the tank were a seamless box. Our panels are welded together
instead of glued, which is why our tanks are superior to what you
get with mass produced tanks.
To finish our hand craftsmanship, all raw edges are routed, flame
polished, and buffed to produce a high-gloss married seam.
As
a test of our construction theory, we tortured some tanks by smashing
them with sledgehammers. Of course, the facing panels cracked and
splintered, but the edges remained in tact.

But not for
everyone.
Our super-sturdy
tanks are hand crafted from scratch, one at a time, using proven
methods that we developed ourselves. Aquariums by the Sea relies
on the tried and true method: skillful hands guided by years of
experience, combined with our knowledge of acrylic technology. The
result is a saltwater tank built to last for decades - from this
generation to the next and the next.
However, all
of this quality and dependability comes at a cost. With aquariums
that are far superior to those available at most retail outlets,
we do not - and cannot - compete on price. We invest too much time
and costly materials in each of our custom-built products to compete
with popular assembly-line brands made with inexpensive imported
materials.

| Aquariums by
the Sea is here for
the enthusiasts and researchers who are determined to enjoy and study
tropical fish without having to worry about their tanks' structural
integrity.
People
and institutions that have either experienced leaking or bursting
tanks in the past don't intend to experience them ever again. People
who are frankly willing to spend a little more, not only for peace
of mind, but to protect their investments in specimens, carpet,
furniture, as well as all the time they spend in carefully maintaining
their systems.
